My sewing machine has been back from repairs for almost a week now but I still have not found my desire to sit down and start making dresses which I want to for Project Uganda. So last night at about 10pm I forced myself to sit and start making a dress until I give up and by midnight I gladly finished 2. I used black bias tapes using a cream thread as I have about 5 reels of unused black bias tapes which I want to start using to free up the space it occupies in my cabinet. No black thread since I cannot see them well at night when sewing but lots of white thread. Actually they are not white, they are cream so I used cream against black. I dont want to buy materials these days as I do not want to spend any money. It didnt look bad except if my sewing is not in a straight line it shows but dont think that will make much difference. At least I had the right fabric materials and make 2 kids happy.
These fabrics were donated by Nicole Devet and Jenni Kirrilov on behalf of her mum. And both these dresses will be allocated to Project Uganda.

6 Pairs of Shorts tonight
I thought I would do something different tonight and this is what I ended up with. Six pairs of shorts. Two are completely finished while the other 4 will have their elastics done tomorrow. When the elastics are done, I will match them with the t-shirts sewn by Monika Osvald. The fabrics were donated by Kim Foster.
Also, here are the girls' undies I purchased last Sunday @$3.00 per pack - I think there are 36 of them but I have allocated 12pcs for the Project Hope Burma Drive specifically for the Pitaka Primary kids.
Now let us see what I will accomplished tomorrow.

Dress #4 for the year 2014
Either I am being slacked or just too busy but today I finally got the chance to sit down and sew a dress after 4 months, 3 days and 7.5 hours and dress #4 for the year.
I was able to trace where the fabric came from and this was donated by Linda Smyth. I hope to make more dresses for the rest of the year 2014. Am aiming for 50 t-shirt dresses for India using the t-shirts given to me by my sister Joan Wolf. I think I have about 75 in stock which are meant to be made into t-shirt dresses. If I am able to sew the 50 this will be my sister and my contribution to Dress A Girl Australia for the year 2014.
