Special thanks to the following for helping spread the word around -
I received an email from Shannon who is the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator at UnitingCare Ageing in Sydney Region. She came across the ‘Dress A Girl Around The World’ project and decided to get their aged care facilities involved. Residents from their facilities have sewn up to 50 dresses from pillowcases that were donated by their organisation’s linen supplier. They had one big group sewing bee and residents still continue to make dresses in their homes as a part of their weekly activity schedule. Isnt that amazing! Thank you so much Shannon and please extend my heartfelt thanks to all the residents who are involved in this project. Thank you!
To Frances Cornish for doing a great job spreading the word around to sewing groups in the ACT area. One of the groups has made 39 dresses and I see more to come. Thanks a lot Frances. Much appreciated.
