Dress Distribution #98/1B - 12/2015 - Project Philippines Christmas 2015 Distribution

These 2 parcels are the second batch of dresses(Parcel 1B) for Christmas distribution in the Philippines. A total of 191 dresses, 25 boys' clothes and about 8 packs of girls' undies scheduled for pickup this coming Sunday to start its journey for 216 disadvantaged kids.

Batch 4 Donated dresses for the month of October

These are the last parcels received for the month of October and closes the collection for Project Philippines Parcel 1B (Dress Distribution #98 for Christmas Distribution)

Christmas Fabric Picture Cards now on Sale!

WIth Christmas fast approaching, I have made available some of my Christmas Fabric picture cards. They are pictures and/or images printed on 100% cotton and fitted inside window cutouts. Most cards, if not all, have blank inside panels for personalized messages. Some cards are one of a kind and in limited supplies for some. They come with matching envelopes for easy sending or gift-giving. Normaly they sell for $2.75 but for this Christmas season each card sells for a $1.50 plus postage of $.70.

Feedback on Project Soibada Construction Project supported by my Dress Sponsorship Program

A few images of the currently going-on construction project (Guesthouse and Training Centre Facilities) of the Pittwater Friends of Soibada which is a non-profit organization based in Avalon NSW and being supported in a very small way by my Dress Sponsorship Program. For $10.00 you get to help complete this construction project and make a difference to the people of the Soibada community in Timor Leste and at the same time provide a new dress to a disadvantaged child. 
As of today, I have raised the amount of $610.00 (that is 61 more dresses that I have sewn for disadvantaged kids) and remitted to the Pittwater Friends of Soibada. Second and Final Cut-off Date for Christmas Distribution

The second parcel (Dress Distribution #98/1B) is now officially closed and parcel will be sent at the end of this month of October.

The last and final cut-off date of dresses for Christmas distribution is Friday, 27th of November. Please make sure all your parcels are posted at least a week before cut-off to make it to my postal box on Friday,27th of Nov. These dresses will need to be sent-off at the end of the month of November to meet the deadline of the freight company which is Dec 4. I need time to sort and pack so please be guided accordingly.

Year 10 Textiles Technology class is making a difference and are proud of it

These girls from Year 10 Textiles Technology class of Picnic Point High School in Sydney have taken great pride in their work and very excited that they are helping make a difference.
Dress donations have been made by the following students: Monique A, Aqueelah, Isabelle, Naomi, Jade, Emily, Ellen, Audrey, Brianna, Jaimie, Perri, Tess, Monique B, Dian and Tarra with assistance from T.Thompson & C.Wardrop.
The dresses that were made by these group of students will be acknowledged separately once received.

Feedback Distribution - Dress Distribution #91/1A Project Soibada Timor Leste

Batch 2 Sponsored Dress for the month of October

For this week I received one dress sponsorship from Lyn Granger. This dress will be included in the Christmas distribution (Project Philippines) and the proceeds from the sponsorship has been remitted to the Pittwater Friends of Soibada, a non-profit organization based in Avalon NSW to help in their construction projects in Soibada Timor Leste.

With the first cut-off date for donating dresses happening last Friday, more dresses were received for Project Philippines - Christmas distribution. These clothes together with the other items received in previous weeks are scheduled for send-off at the end of this month of October.

First cut-off date and guidelines on dresses reminder

This Friday is the first cut-off date for dresses to be distributed in December. Can I PLEASE remind everyone to PLEASE follow the guidelines in making dresses especially when it comes to fabric materials to use. If you can see your hand through the fabric then it is either you put a lining or not use the fabric to make a dress at all. Thank you.

Batch 2 Donated dresses for the month of October

A total of 21 dresses were received this week thanks to the kindness and generosity of the following donors.

Sending first parcel for Christmas

The box is too full and very heavy with 205 dresses and 9 boys clothes I have decided to send the box in advance (ahead of first cut-off date) so I can do proper budgeting.

Feedback Distribution - Dress Distribution #88/1B Project CDO Philippines 09/2015

Here are some pictures taken from the dress distribution made in CDO Philippines two days ago. These dresses were from the Project CDO Cabaraban (Dress Distribution #88/1B - 09/2015) sent last month. Distribution was made to kids attending the local elementary school of the community of Balubal.

Batch 1 Sponsored Dresses for the month of October

Not only did I receive donated dresses this week but also had sponsored dresses from two generous donors. The dresses will be allocated to the disadvantaged kiddies in the Philippines this Christmas and proceeds from the sponsorships have been donated to the Pittwater Friends of Soibada based in Avalon NSW to help in their construction projects in Soibada Timor Leste. First Cut-off Date for Christmas Distribution

Just a friendly reminder of the first cut-off date for Project Philippines for Christmas distribution is the 23rd of October. Dresses that make it to this cut-off will be sent to the distributors by Sunday, 1st of November. Thank you.
