Feedback Dress Distribution #118 - Christmas for Kenya

The parcel for kenya which had about 13 dresses only were delivered by my niece in Kibera in Kenya which is the largest slum area in the world. Since there were only 13 dresses I told her to give it to the most deserving disadvantaged kids and she decided that Kibera was the place to be. Since the place was very very big and she only had 13 dresses she decided to give it to a women's organisation which looks after the place. Here is our conversation regarding the dresses -

No pictures of the 13 dresses being handed to the children but she took pictures of the slum area.

I think it was a good idea to give the dresses to the women's organisation as they had a better idea as to who should be receiving them. I know how difficult it is to give dresses especially if you have not made a previous arrangement you do not know where to go so my heartfelt thanks to my niece for finding the time to find a place to deliver the parcel. Much appreciated.

I received an email today from Joan Adams of Morning Star South Africa that the first parcel I sent to her last Dec 2017 has arrived safely.

Feedback Dress Distribution #111 - Christmas Distribution for Sri Lanka

I have been advised that the dresses Dress A Girl Australia donated to Network Heaven to be included in their 2017 Christmas Distributions in Sri Lanka have now been distributed. Because the dresses, t-shirts, pairs of shorts for the boys, undies, totes, exercise books and school supplies were just a part of a very big and major distribution of the Network Heaven organization in Sri Lanka, I do not think I will be able to manage to share specific pictures of the dresses to the donors but please click on the link below that will take you to their facebook page where pictures have been posted. 2017 Statistics - Dress A Girl Australia

This is Dress A Girl Australia's Distribution statistics for 2017. In total since 2011, I have provided 9,543 dresses for girls, 1908 boys' shorts, 1091 t-shirts, 149 quilts and 27 leggings. For the year 2017, I have distributed 267 dresses only, 10 pairs of shorts for boys and 31 t-shirts plus 91 totes.

Distributions were made to the Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Peru, Pakistan and South Africa. Thank you to all the dress donors and dress sponsors for making the numbers for 2017 possible and for the dress sponsors for helping make the distribution possible.
