There are more dresses coming from the members of the Women's Shed of Tamworth. And another group in town called The Australian Sewing Guild of Tamworth also committed to doing some. Both groups see this campaign as a very worthwhile project and are happy to assist according to Betty Priest. Most of the materials have been donated by the sewers themselves and the craft shed and they have dedicated sewers in the group. Recently I made suggestions on how they can raise money for postage to lessen the financial burden of the cost of sending the dresses to Sydney. Here are a couple of dresses on their way to Sydney -
And here is a picture of the Craft Shed of Tamworth.
The craft shed is various craft enthusiasts coming together sharing the costs of
power, rates etc. via membership fees and commission from sales of members work.
If you happen to go to Tamworth, dont forget to drop by the Craft Shed. There might be something that will catch your eye.
